Charlie is a beautiful, affectionate young dog in search of a patient family ready to help her boost her confidence. Adopted as a puppy, she faced a tough start when her owner suffered a serious accident shortly after bringing her home. Though she returned, the lack of socialization during those critical early months impacted her development. For the last three months, Charlie has thrived in a caring foster home where she’s received stability and guidance. She adores other dogs and would benefit from having a confident canine companion. Charlie is also cat-friendly, crate trained, and house trained. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides, hiking, and exploring new surroundings. While she’s friendly when out and about, she can be a bit unsure when new people enter what she sees as her safe space. With patience and training, she’s learning not to be afraid. Charlie will need a calm home without young children, where someone understands that building trust takes time.
