Meet Squeakie, a gentle 9-month-old boy with a soft heart eager to learn about the joys of a loving home. He isn’t a fan of hissing but tends to hide when feeling unsure. Once you reach out to him, he sweetly accepts pets. To help Squeakie flourish, he needs a home with another cat—either adopting a buddy from our shelter or pairing him with a friendly resident cat already at home. An experienced cat owner is essential for Squeakie. He needs someone patient to show him how comforting human affection can be. Given his shy nature, it’s important that his forever family gently integrates him into daily life, preventing him from hiding away and helping foster his confidence. Any children in the home should be over 12 and understand the importance of respecting a cat's space. At this point, we recommend avoiding dogs, though this may change as Squeakie settles in. Squeakie has recently had a dental cleaning. Our vet recommends a follow-up checkup in January, and we’re looking for someone committed to bringing him for that visit.
