About Duke

Meet Duke, also affectionately known as "Duck." This young English Coonhound/Foxhound mix is around 2.5 years old, with a tricolor coat of brown, black, and white. Duke's journey began on the streets, where he faced immense challenges, leading to anxiety and a fearful demeanor. Rescued just in time from a shelter, he made considerable progress in his foster home, learning to trust and feel safe. While still working through his fears, Duke thrives in the company of other dogs and would truly benefit from having at least one furry companion to help boost his confidence. Although Duke is still discovering the joys of the outside world, he has plenty of playful energy and would love access to a tall, fenced backyard for adventurous playtime. He’s great with dog-savvy cats and enjoys being surrounded by his canine friends. A patient adopter willing to guide him through his fears and show him the affection he deserves will find a loyal and loving companion in Duke.
