About Buutz

Meet Buutz, a 7-year-old male Chihuahua weighing about 12 pounds. He’s a captivating blue merle with a big personality, having come to us as an owner surrender from a breeder. His early years spent in a breeding environment have made him confident and a bit strong-willed. A secure yard is essential, as he’s known to bolt when he gets the chance. Buutz does well with other dogs if introduced properly, but due to his sensitivity, he isn't a fan of the unpredictable energy of children, making an adult-only home the best fit for him. At home, he’s sweet and enjoys cuddling with his foster family. While he loves car rides, he’s still learning to feel safe outside his known environment, and potential adopters should expect some leash reactivity that will require patient training. He may nip when feeling scared or overwhelmed, especially in new situations. An experienced dog owner willing to provide structure and clear boundaries will be ideal for Buutz. He has a mild heart murmur that doesn't currently require treatment, though regular vet checkups are necessary. If you’re seeking a loyal companion needing guidance and patience, Buutz might be your perfect match.
