About Layla
Meet Layla, a delightful 10-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing around 19 pounds. Layla is sweet and affectionate, having been adopted as a puppy from Smidget Rescue in 2017. After recently losing one of her owners and facing a lifestyle change, she’s ready to find a new family to love. Currently, she’s on a diet and exercise plan to help her return to her ideal weight of about 15 pounds. Layla enjoys the company of people and her foster siblings, loving playtime with other dogs she knows. She's intelligent and eager to learn tricks, especially for treats, although she does have a slight stubborn side. This independent little explorer prefers her own space at bedtime but enjoys car rides, leisurely walks, and guarding the house with her alert, excited bark. She’s also happy to entertain herself while soaking up the sun in the yard. Layla is house trained and demonstrates good behavior when left uncrated. This charming lady loves food, especially veggies and fruits, and expresses her excitement with a unique hruff hruff sound. If you’re looking for a cozy companion who loves to explore yet knows how to enjoy quiet moments, Layla could be the right fit for you. Apply for adoption today!
