About Isadora
Isadora has a rich history, having spent 15 years with a loving family before being surrendered to a rural shelter when they could no longer care for her. We welcomed her into Miri's Haven Senior Dog Rescue, reassuring her that she deserves love and attention. She's ready to share all her affection with a lucky new family. Having experienced abandonment, Isadora prefers to keep a close watch on her humans and doesn’t like being left alone for long periods. She's currently on anti-anxiety medications to help her adjust to her new surroundings. Isadora thrives in a calm environment and is best suited for an adult-only home or one with older children who understand her need for respect and quiet. Isadora enjoys her daily routines and prefers having her human around. She’s great on a leash, fully housetrained, and sleeps soundly through the night beside her person. While she loves to lounge comfortably on her dog bed, she’ll often check in to see if you’re still there. She appreciates gentle interactions, especially ear and butt scratches, and has a special way of gazing into your eyes, as if asking for treats. Though Isadora may have some hearing reduction, she can still hear sounds like the refrigerator door opening. She navigates stairs but may struggle with multiple flights due to stiffness in her back legs. At approximately 15 years old and weighing around 15 lbs, Isadora is a delightful companion.
