About Prairie

Prairie is a sweet girl looking for her forever home. As a Jack Russell Terrier mix, she brings a mix of charm and energy to her new family. At about 5 years old, Prairie currently weighs around 11.4 lbs and is ready to find a family willing to give her the patience and love she deserves. Having come from a hoarding situation in South Carolina, Prairie's social skills are still developing, especially with new people, noises, and environments. She will thrive in a calm home where she can gradually learn that the world is a safe place. Prairie is good with other dogs and will need some patience as she adjusts. While we have not seen her with cats or children, we welcome discussions on how to manage introductions. Prairie is starting to show her affectionate side by requesting cuddles from her foster. What she truly seeks is a loving family that will provide her with toys, treats, and a cozy bed. Stimulation, both mental and physical, is crucial for her well-being, so time spent playing with her fellow dogs would bring her great joy. This little shy girl is ready to come out of her shell in the right environment. Your new best friend is just one click away!
