Meet Loki, a five-year-old Basset Hound from Port Saint Lucie, FL. Weighing in at about 50 lbs, he is a shy boy who is learning to build confidence and trust. Despite his initial timidity, he's as sweet as can be. Loki has been fantastic with children, adults, other dogs, and even cats, birds, and horses. He shows no resource guarding behavior and behaves exceptionally well. This little guy is crate trained and house trained, though he currently enjoys the freedom of not being crated in his foster home. He also rides well in the car. Because Loki is accustomed to a life where he could roam in a gated space, a home with a fenced yard would be ideal for him. This setting would allow him to feel secure and minimize the need for frequent leashed walks, which might overwhelm him. Once Loki opens up, he turns into a playful and affectionate companion.
