Declan lost his left eye due to trauma, which might have been related to his previous role as a guard dog. Initially, he struggled with trust and had aggressive tendencies, but with dedicated handling, he has made considerable progress. He’s now ready to find a special human who understands his journey. Declan thrives in a single-pet household where he can bond deeply with his owner, preferably a single woman. He enjoys an indoor-outdoor setup, but it's crucial he has a secure space to roam. While he walks well with familiar dogs, he doesn’t want to share his life with other animals. Adopting Declan requires a calm and confident individual who is prepared for multiple visits to establish trust. It's essential for us to ensure he never faces trauma again.
