About Kit Kat

Meet Kit Kat. Kit Kat is a 1.5-year-old, 50-pound Chow Chow and Australian Cattle Dog mix with a heart full of hope. She has a remarkable story of resilience, having survived on the streets for her first few months of life with her siblings. With very little exposure to people, Kit Kat came into rescue quite under-socialized, but her loving foster family has worked diligently to help her build confidence. Day by day, she’s transforming into a more trusting companion. Kit Kat thrives best in a home with at least one confident, friendly dog. She adores her canine friends and learns so much by observing them, making a furry companion essential for her forever home. While she’s quicker to trust dogs than humans, she turns into a sweet and affectionate sidekick once she feels secure. With her lovable personality, she enjoys rolling in the grass, running zoomies, and indulging in tasty treats. She may be a bit timid in new situations but is never fear aggressive. Instead of reacting, she tends to create distance when unsure. Kit Kat has made it clear that trust takes time, and she needs an adopter who understands this journey. Though she’s potty trained, a new environment might lead to the occasional nervous accident. She does wonderfully on a long leash, which gives her the space to feel secure. Kit Kat has not had the chance to play with cats yet but has observed them from a distance, showing no desire to chase. Each week, she becomes braver and more confident, proving that with a patient adopter and continued positive experiences, she will blossom into a beloved companion. Whoever opens their heart to Kit Kat will witness the beauty of her growth and resilience. Click apply to start the adoption process.
