Meet Benson, a handsome 5.5-year-old Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd mix, weighing around 90 lbs. Rescued from a local shelter alongside his brother Mozart, Benson has a gentle demeanor and is great with dogs of all sizes, especially laid-back ones like his brother. He’s also good with cats and kids, as long as they respect his space. At first, Benson is shy and timid, needing a safe environment to open up. Once comfortable, he transforms into a loving companion with small bursts of energy, although he prefers calm settings over loud ones. Benson enjoys being outside—he finds reassurance in having another dog around and would thrive in a home with a canine friend. He does like to cuddle occasionally but also values his quiet time. He isn’t fond of car rides but is learning to enjoy walks. Crate-trained and potty-trained, he’s learning to trust being out of his crate.
