About Poco
Poco has a unique way of making his presence known. Unlike most dogs who charge in excitedly, Poco announces himself with a surprisingly deep bark that may leave you looking for a larger dog. This little lowrider, with his charming white socks, captivates everyone with his energetic spirit. At just one year old, he’s a delightful mix of Dachshund and Chihuahua, full of playful energy, yet wonderfully independent when it’s time to unwind. Though new faces can make him pause, Poco is gradually learning that not everyone is scary. Each day brings more trust as he discovers that hands bring ear scratches and delicious meals. Training on a leash is still a work in progress, but he’s enthusiastic about the little strides he makes. Poco would enjoy sharing his life with another small dog, but he’s also perfectly happy being the solo star in your life. A stable environment with a routine will help him flourish. Cared for by Addicus' Legacy Dog Rescue, Poco is ready for a patient adopter who appreciates his sensitive nature and his surprisingly big personality. He’s open to transport within the Vernon, CT area, so potential adopters across Connecticut, Vermont, and southern New Hampshire can welcome him home. Think Poco might be the right fit for you?
