About Skipper
Skipper is a brave, loving, pocket-sized German Shepherd mix learning to navigate life with three legs. At just under 30 pounds, this sweet pup is playful, smart, and eager to find a cozy forever home. Rescued from the side of the freeway, Skipper was nothing but skin and bones with a partial leg and a severely broken leg. Despite this, his spirit shone through with endless kisses and snuggles. Thanks to dedicated veterinarians and generous supporters, Skipper has made an incredible recovery in just under six weeks and is now ready to find his forever family. While he may not be the best running partner, Skipper is perfect for Netflix marathons, long car rides, and lazy days at home. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is completely cat-friendly. His gentle nature made him a hit during a school visit, where he soaked up affection from kids of all ages. Skipper’s ideal home would offer a calm environment with minimal stairs, and his new family should be patient as he adjusts to his new way of life. He is fully potty pad trained and is working on transitioning outside. After overcoming so many challenges, it's now time for Skipper to relax and enjoy life.
