Peli is a gentle 4-year-old Pug with a heart full of love, ready to be won over one tail wag at a time. She came to us after a divorce left her without a family able to care for her. At around 17 pounds, she may take her time observing her new surroundings and warming up to new people, but with a gentle approach and some yummy treats, her sweet personality will start to shine through. While Peli can be a bit cautious, once she decides you’re her person, her affectionate side comes out. She thrives in the presence of her humans and feels most secure when she knows her family. Interestingly, she gets along well with other dogs, which seems to boost her confidence. In a less overwhelming environment, she will truly thrive. Peli is looking for a patient home that understands the beauty of building a bond slowly.
