About Maggie

Meet Maggie! This lovely Great Pyrenees is around 2-3 years old and is currently on her way to recovery after being found as a stray. She’s calm, gentle, and sweet, weighing approximately 75 lbs and showing great signs of healing from flea allergies. Maggie adores people and has a natural inclination to lean against you, often resting her head in your lap. She’s been wonderful with kids and is not jumpy at all. While she gets along with the large dogs in her foster home, she’s more of a laid-back companion who prefers a confident atmosphere. Given her gentle nature, she would likely do well with small dogs and cats too. She’s quite low energy but perks up when it’s mealtime, showcasing her playful side. Maggie is smart and receptive to training, having quickly learned the ‘sit’ command. She walks nicely on a leash, enjoys car rides, and has shown curiosity on outings. Her timid demeanor is charming, and she has yet to bark during her time in foster care. Maggie is house trained and does well without a crate. She even enjoys baths, possibly finding relief for her skin. After just over a week in her new home, she has started sleeping on her back — a sign that she’s become comfortable and secure. Maggie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find her forever home in the Garland, TX area. If you’re ready to give her the loving family she deserves, apply today!
