About Tex

Tex is a lively young guy looking for a fresh start and all the love he can get. At just 7.5 months old, he is a Labrador mix weighing approximately 36 lbs as of late July. He thrives around other dogs, and while he hasn't met any cats or kids yet, the team is ready to help new adopters with the best integration practices. Currently at Lucky Dog's South Carolina campus, Tex is eager to move to a foster or forever home in the DC area. In quieter environments, he tends to shine brighter when paired with another dog for added confidence. This young pup is not far from puppyhood and dreams of exploring the world, enjoying long sniffy walks, and enrolling in dog school. Tex is smart and ready to show off his skills. He will definitely want cozy cuddles and soft scratches at the end of active days. Most importantly, he seeks a safe, loving environment where he can truly belong. Can you see Tex by your side? What does Tex’s foster think of him? You'll find out once he settles in. Please note that Lucky Dog cannot guarantee house training status for any dog, as all are working on crate training. Every dog deserves a loving home, and Tex is no exception. Ready to make a difference in his life? Apply today!
