About Maple

Maple is a 6-year-old American Bully mix with a story that speaks to resilience and hope. She was abandoned alongside another dog at the Millington Wildlife Management Area, but showed bravery and stepped into a humane trap to find safety. Since her rescue, her companion has not been found, leaving Maple to navigate her new world alone. Currently, Maple is still adjusting to her new life. She is a quiet and guarded girl, still figuring out how to trust humans again. It's hard to say if she enjoys toys, craves cuddles, or has a playful side waiting to unfold; for now, she’s keeping those secrets close. What is certain, however, is that she needs a calm, low-traffic home with a patient adopter who can provide soft voices and gentle introductions. Maple's journey will require time, but in those quiet moments, she will learn that she is safe and cherished. Adopting Maple won’t come with immediate affection, but instead requires a steady commitment to show her that she is loved and not abandoned. Those willing to take the time to gain her trust will be rewarded with the gentle spirit she has yet to reveal.
