About Nori
Nori is a sweet, loving girl who craves a home where she can bond with her very own person or family. This Border Collie is not one for sharing her space with a bustling pack of dogs, and her affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion. Found as one of six abandoned pups on a country road, Nori has overcome hurdles, including a diagnosis of hip dysplasia. While her condition requires special attention, she still enjoys life's simple pleasures, like snuggling and playing fetch. Although she's currently with a large foster family, it’s become clear that Nori would thrive best in a quieter environment. She’s fostered in a loving home that will assist her transition to a new one, including transportation across the Pacific Northwest if needed. Nori is a joy around humans, getting along well with children. However, due to her hip condition, she should not live with very young kids who might accidentally hurt her. While she’s generally tolerant of her canine housemates, she prefers to focus her energy on her humans during playtime. She can be irritable with loud dogs and is best suited for a home without small breeds. Her interactions with cats can be managed effectively; she has shown calm behavior when supervised but will chase if they run. This clever girl is house-trained and crate-trained, well-behaved, and eager to please, making her easy to train despite not having formal classes. Nori is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations, and while she has some ongoing pain management needs due to her hip dysplasia, she remains active and playful. She is about 45 lbs and estimated to be around 3 years and 11 months old, having been born on August 14, 2022. Nori is ready to bring joy and love into a special home.
