Rusty is a male Chihuahua, approximately 6 years old. He has a small frame and a short coat in a lovely blend of brown, red, and tan. Rusty is house trained, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He is currently in Chuckey, TN. A little sweetheart, he prefers to stay grounded but enjoys being near his trusted humans.

Meet Rusty, a charming 6-year-old Chihuahua who’s ready to find his forever home. Don’t let the fact that he’s blind in one eye fool you; Rusty moves around with confidence and is eager to embrace the comfort of a caring family. He takes time to build trust, but once he warms up to you, he’ll be your loyal companion. While he appreciates close company, Rusty prefers to keep his paws on the ground and does not enjoy being picked up. He gets along well with other small dogs he knows and has been quite social. Rusty finds himself looking for a second chance after being surrendered by his previous owner. His best friends, Lucy and Penny, are also in the rescue but they don’t need to be adopted together. This little guy deserves love just as he is. If you think you can provide that, go ahead and apply for Rusty. He’s waiting for a family who’ll respect his boundaries and offer lasting companionship.
