About Velvet
Meet Velvet, a 38 lb. neutered male puppy around 10 months old. Despite currently missing much of his fur, he has the softest skin you can imagine, giving him his fitting name. Velvet's warm, velvety skin is something to smile about, and we're optimistic that with the right care, his fur will grow back beautifully. In his kennel, Velvet may have seemed quiet, but the happy thump of his tail told a different story. He's learning that the world can be less intimidating and is getting used to walking on a leash, though it was a new experience for him. While he hesitated outside, once the leash was off, his true personality shone through. This sweet boy climbed right into my lap, soaking up pats and cuddles like a pro. He's playful, enjoys tossing toys, and is ready for some fun. Treats motivate him greatly, and he’s currently learning to sit. Like many puppies, he's still figuring out the best way to accept treats and often fumbles a bit, but he's picking it up quickly. Velvet is eager for a patient family that can help him build confidence and discover more about the world. Behind his unique look is a joyful, affectionate puppy, always sporting a wagging tail and eager to share love. His future is bright, reflecting his cheerful spirit. He will benefit from some puppy training and requires time and patience to flourish.
