Meet Tom, a charming 4-month-old Border Collie mix who’s already stealing hearts with his affectionate nature and playful spirit. If you're after a companion who balances fun and cuddles, Tom fits the bill perfectly. Tom is a social butterfly who adores people of all ages. He gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs, exhibiting a polite and submissive demeanor. Surprisingly, he also has a soft spot for dog-savvy cats! His affectionate side shines through as he loves giving kisses and curling up on laps. Tom's intuitive nature has his foster family convinced he could excel in therapy work as he matures. With plenty of puppy energy, he knows when it’s playtime and when it’s time to wind down and relax. Tom's learning journey includes being crate trained and mostly house-trained, although he’s still working on ringing bells to go outside. He enjoys walks, car rides, and is eager to play with his toys. While he’s got a typical puppy bark, his prey drive is low, making him a calm presence in the home. Tom is still mastering some basic commands and showing improvement with recall. Loud sounds like lawn mowers make him prefer his safe spot, but he’s not easily scared. He’s scheduled to be neutered on August 4th, and once that’s done, he’ll be ready for adoption.
