About MAVIS the blue nose
Meet Mavis the Blue Nose! She’s a stunning, approximately 3-4 year old spayed female Pit Bull Terrier who weighs in at around 58 lbs. Intelligent and observant, Mavis has a knack for picking up her foster's routines, often anticipating their next move. Having survived as a stray and even raising a litter of puppies, Mavis has shown remarkable resilience. Since finding a loving foster home, her stoic independence has softened. She enjoys lying on the floor, giving sweet kisses, and even dozing off with her head resting on her foster’s arm while softly snoring away. Mavis is becoming more comfortable with grooming, allowing her foster to trim her nails and clean her ears with appreciation, despite her initial hesitance. While she gets along with other fosters, Mavis might thrive best as the sole dog in the home, or potentially with a larger male dog. Experienced adopters who can help her adjust to living with another pup will be ideal. Mavis doesn’t get along with female dogs or cats, and she walks great on a leash without reacting to other dogs while out and about. A fun fact about Mavis is that she absolutely loves chasing water from a garden hose, making for some entertaining moments!
