About Mae

Mae is an adorable Shih Tzu and Jack Russell Terrier mix, coming from an owner surrender situation. Born on May 7, 2026, she’s still a baby at just two months old. Mae is lively and sweet, sporting a feisty personality that makes her a little bossy with her siblings. She adores playing with toys and is already puppy pad trained, making her a little easier to manage. Mae is comfortable during baths and nail trims, which is a plus for grooming. Potential adopters should be aware that she is not yet spayed, so a transportation arrangement to her spay appointment at Westview Veterinary is required. The adoption fee includes her future spay, initial vaccines, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, as well as a microchip. Residents of Sandusky County need to purchase a dog license at the time of adoption. Come to the Humane Society of Sandusky County to meet this lively girl. They’re open Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 5 PM, and on Saturdays from 1 PM to 4 PM. This could be the start of a wonderful friendship!
