About Buoy

Buoy is a charming little Jack Russell Terrier mix who was surrendered to a shelter after being part of an unwanted litter. Rescued at just 9 weeks, he has been thriving under care since then. Now 3 months old, he has an irresistible heart-shaped spot on his side that makes him even more special. Buoy is social and enjoys the company of dogs of all ages and sizes, as well as cats. His friendly nature extends to children too; he has done wonderfully with them. Almost house trained, he is learning to walk on a leash, which he seems to tackle with curiosity. At 10 pounds, Buoy is expected to remain small, following in the footsteps of his mom, who weighs around 16 pounds. He is neutered, and his vaccinations are all up to date. Buoy is currently negative for heartworm and on prevention for fleas and ticks. He will be ready for adoption in Chester, Virginia on 8/15. This sweet boy deserves a loving home, and he’s here, ready to bring joy to your life. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
