Carlton is a friendly little gentleman who found his way into our hearts after being rescued from a California shelter. Originally brought in as a stray, he was fortunate enough to escape a tough fate, and we knew he deserved a second chance. At approximately 8 years old and weighing in at 13.5 pounds, Carlton is likely a Chihuahua mix. He’s got a pleasant demeanor—cuddly, well-mannered, and social. He gets along nicely with other dogs and has been fostered without any issues around them. His foster experiences with cats have also been positive. Currently, Carlton shares his space with a 3-year-old, and he has been wonderful around her. However, we recommend homes with children aged 10 and up to ensure a calmer environment, as young kids can sometimes be a bit too energetic for him. Carlton is house trained and only requires moderate exercise; a daily walk will do just fine for him. This little guy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on all preventatives, ready to find his perfect match. If your heart is open to a loving companion, consider Carlton.
