About Velma

Velma is a sweet Chihuahua mix looking for a fresh start and some love! This charming five-year-old girl is currently at a shelter in Puerto Rico and needs a foster or forever home in the DC area. We know she gets along well with other dogs, making her a great fit for a home with a canine companion. While we haven't seen her with cats or children yet, we're happy to discuss integration techniques for potential adopters. Velma's journey hasn’t allowed her to experience much of the world yet. She’s eager for sniffy walks, park romps, and family adventures. Given her background, she’ll thrive with owners dedicated to socialization; regular walks, visits to dog parks, or doggie daycare will help her learn the ropes. Most importantly, Velma desires a safe and loving home where she can show her loyalty and affection. If you're ready to be her forever human, reach out!
