About Scout
Meet Scout, a sweet 6- to 7-year-old male Havanese who deserves a loving home. Having recently escaped the commercial breeding world, life has been an overwhelming journey for him. Scout is learning to embrace his new environment, overcoming his timidity and opening his heart to the love around him. When he first joined his foster family, Scout was shy and cautious, but he’s come a long way. He now seeks out affection, wags his tail, and happily explores his backyard, which has become his happy place. Basic training is progressing well; he’s getting the hang of potty training and loves his crate, where he feels safe and secure. Scout will flourish best in a calm, patient home with another small, friendly dog to guide him through this transition. He’s not yet ready for the hustle and bustle of young children or high-energy situations. Instead, he needs the time and encouragement to blossom into the joyful companion he's meant to be. Regular grooming will be part of his care, and though he enjoys treats, toys aren’t his thing—yet. This little guy is neutered, fully vetted, and ready to find his forever family.
