About Star
Star is a 5-year-old brindle Boxer/Terrier mix whose life changed dramatically when she entered rescue. Once struggling with severe infections, painful skin, and neglect, Star has made a stunning recovery with vet care, medicated baths, and a switch to a fish-based diet. Her fur is now healthy, her energy is back, and she lives for affection, squeaky toys, food, and—above all—fetch with her beloved balls. She’s genuinely fond of people of all ages, including children, and seems to thrive when showered with attention. Star knows several commands, is both potty and crate trained, and is happy to offer snuggles or jump right in the car for an adventure. Given her many years as the only dog, she’s still learning the social ropes with other dogs and may prefer to be the sole canine in her next home. For continued health, she’ll need ongoing attention to allergies: adopters should keep her on a fish diet (strictly no chicken) and may need to continue with allergy shots. Star is looking for someone to keep her body and heart healthy, and she won’t leave any space for loneliness in your life. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
