About Consuela
Meet Consuela! At 8 years old, Consuela is adjusting to a world that has changed drastically after losing the only home she’s ever known. Now, she is searching for someone to love and to stay close to. From the very start in her foster home, Consuela has shown how deeply she connects with people. She approaches you eagerly, allowing herself to be held, and quickly makes it known that she simply wants to be near you. She follows you from room to room, gently paws for attention, and loves to curl up in your lap for comfort. Being close to her person is where she feels safest. Consuela has lovely manners, is great in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. She can sit for a treat and has a very social demeanor. Her playful side comes out with her favorite stuffed Eeyore toy. She does best with dogs of her size and requires gentle introductions. While her history with cats is still unknown, she previously lived with another small dog. Ideally, she would thrive in a calm home with someone who understands the needs of small breeds and is around often. Consuela has a lot of love to give and is hoping to find her forever home with someone ready to hold her close and remind her that she is cherished. Could that be you?
