Meet Nash! At 4 years old and 30 pounds, Nash is a handsome retriever mix with a heart every bit as big as his goofy grin. This sweet boy's journey hasn't been the easiest—he was found as a stray and arrived at the shelter severely underweight. Thanks to the love and dedication of volunteers, Nash has been steadily gaining weight, proving what an incredible dog he truly is. Nash balances friendliness, gentleness, and curiosity perfectly. He loves meeting new people, enjoys exploring his surroundings, and is always ready for an adventure. Despite his playful nature, he's surprisingly quiet and well-mannered. Walking on a leash is a dream with Nash; he’s polite and happiest just being around his favorite people. One of his favorite pastimes is chasing tennis balls! With his medium energy level, he enjoys a fun game or a nice walk before curling up for cuddles on the couch. During his foster time, Nash showed he is a wonderful housemate—housetrained, not much of a barker, possessing excellent manners, and incredibly affectionate. He fits seamlessly into family life. While Nash has manageable health needs, he simply requires a digestive enzyme and a daily vitamin B12 to thrive. His love for life remains unfazed by these needs. Compatibility with dogs, cats, and children is currently unknown, but he has shown great potential with other dogs at the shelter. If you have a resident dog, we can schedule a meet-and-greet before adoption. Nash is part of our Foster-to-Adopt Program, allowing you to bring him home while he completes his routine veterinary care. He’s already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm disease. This is a great chance for him to settle into home life while completing the last steps toward adoption.
