About Roy

Roy is a charming older gentleman, estimated to be around 8 years old. He came to us from AHS, having faced some health challenges like a mildly enlarged heart and dental issues, but he has made great progress since. Now that his painful teeth have been taken care of, he has gained weight and is close to his ideal size at about 14 lbs. His coat is a soft, curly black, adding to his sweet demeanor. Roy walks nicely on a leash and is mostly housetrained, utilizing the dog door effectively. He can be crated comfortably for short periods. Although he has some early-stage cataracts, he still sees and hears well. His heart was evaluated by the vet, and good news—he doesn’t need medication at this time. While he gets along with most dogs in his foster home, he can be selective about his four-legged friends. When it comes to people, Roy is outgoing and friendly, although his enthusiastic nature may not be the best fit for very small children. Ready to welcome Roy into your family?
