Though she’s a bit shy around new faces and unfamiliar environments, a little patience and kindness can unveil the incredible dog that lies beneath her cautious exterior. Once Kiwi feels at home, she transforms into a snuggly "Velcro dog" who loves to be close to her people. She craves affection and will happily curl up beside you, soaking up all the cuddles she can get. Kiwi is both house trained and crate trained. She knows her basic commands and has great manners at home. While she's still polishing her leash skills, she'll thrive with an adopter who can continue building her confidence with positive reinforcement. She's great with other dogs and would flourish in a home with a playful canine companion. Kiwi often looks to them for reassurance, making a doggy friend an essential part of her forever home. She also does well with older, dog-savvy children who understand her need for some space as she adjusts and learns to trust.
