Recently surrendered alongside his brother due to his owner’s health issues, Gus is ready for a cozy retirement filled with comfy spots and lots of affection. He has a calm demeanor and has made friends with everyone he meets, demonstrating his easy-going nature. At the dog park, he greeted everyone with a wagging tail before barking to head back for a well-deserved rest. Gus is incredibly intelligent, having quickly learned to navigate his new indoor environment, including figuring out the pet door right away. As a former hunting dog, he knows how to focus, but he’s as sweet as they come. He’s housebroken and crate-trained, with no accidents since entering his new home. While he may still be getting accustomed to reflections and ceiling fans, he's adapting well. Gus has a history of being great with kids of all ages but does not get along with cats.
