About Ben
Meet Ben, an English Setter who is the embodiment of softness, both in personality and coat. At 62 lbs, this neutered male is a perfect companion, preferring to be by your side or curdled up on your lap. He was once an outdoor hunting dog, so he has a strong prey drive and a respectable 'woah.' Fortunately, he's adjusted well to indoor life, reveling in cozy couches and the odd spoonful of peanut butter. Despite his occasional anxious moments, especially in the presence of loud noises or quick movements, he is great with older children and loves to play with other dogs, although he can be a bit timid at times. Ben is housebroken, crate trained, and has a gentle demeanor that makes him a delightful addition to any family. His previous owners reported that he got along wonderfully with children ranging from infants to six-year-olds, but his nervousness around raised voices suggests that older kids may be the best fit for him. With a penchant for cuddling and a calm disposition, he enjoys lounging around but has bursts of energy during playtime. He's also well-mannered, never jumping on people or counter surfing. If you think Ben might be the loving companion you've been searching for, don’t wait to apply!
