Meet Parkerton! This beautiful gray and white girl is about 10 months old, and her past is one that lingers in the heart. Abandoned in a soft-sided carrier on a park bench at a local Cleveland park, Parkerton found herself in a scary situation. Luckily, one of our director's pet care clients discovered her and reached out for help. We were able to bring her to safety the very next day. Initially, Parkerton was terrified and took refuge in the bathroom, making it clear she needed time to adjust. After her spay surgery, the veterinary team noted her defensiveness, but we believed in her ability to overcome this. Over the next few days, we saw a remarkable transformation. Through gentle interactions, she began to trust again. From hesitant approaches for affection to becoming the cuddly lap cat she is today, Parkerton learned to embrace love. Now, she’s ready for the forever family she deserves. After experiencing abandonment, Parkerton is thriving in a safe, loving environment.
