Meet Nami! Nami is a 1-year-old sweetheart named after the adventurous navigator from One Piece, and she's just as special as her namesake. It’s been wonderful to watch her grow during her foster care, and while we'll miss her, we're excited to help her find her forever family. This gentle girl has a shy side when meeting new folks but blossoms into a loving companion once she feels safe. Nami adores cuddling and enjoys being carried around like a baby, often following her favorite people from room to room just to be near them. Currently, Nami lives with kids ages 4 to 12, small dogs, and cats, and she gets along well with all of them. She engages playfully with the cats in a puppy-like manner and loves being part of the family. A recent sleepover with a potential adopter provided insight into the kind of home where Nami will thrive. While she bonds best with women, she’s shown she's adaptable to family life. Ideally, a women-only home or one with women and children would suit her best. Nami is kennel trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She enjoys running and playing in a fenced yard, although she is still learning about leash walks. At meal times, she gets excited and tends to eat quickly, so a puzzle bowl has been very helpful in slowing her down. The perfect home for Nami is one that exhibits patience and understanding, allowing her to adjust at her own pace. Once she trusts you, you’ll have a devoted companion who loves with her whole heart and simply wants to be near her loved ones.
