About Canela

Meet Canela! This charming six-year-old Pit Bull mix comes with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. Canela is fully house-trained and has spent years being a cherished house dog, so she settles beautifully into home life. While she may look athletic, she prefers to be a cozy couch potato, enjoying quiet moments by your side rather than running marathons. Canela knows all her basic commands: come, sit, down, stay, and heel. She’s attentive, eager to please, and quite the foodie, making her an excellent companion for further training or adventures with a loving family. She joined us after being surrendered due to conflicts with another dog. Despite that history, Canela has surprised us all with her calm demeanor and indifference around other dogs. We suggest she be the only dog in the home or placed with an experienced adopter who can manage careful introductions. Overall, Canela seeks a calm, loving environment where she can enjoy the comforts of family life. If you're in search of a devoted companion who loves to lounge as much as spend quality time with you, Canela could be the perfect match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
