While she has an athletic appearance, don’t be fooled; she’s a true couch potato at heart, preferring to relax beside her loved ones rather than run marathons. She’s well-trained in all the basics—come, sit, down, stay, and heel—and has been a pleasure to take out in public. Canela is attentive and eager to please, making her an excellent partner for learning new skills or enjoying adventures with her future family. Canela arrived at the shelter after being surrendered due to conflicts with another dog. Despite her history, she has been calm and easygoing since coming to us, showing little aggression towards other dogs. However, we believe she would thrive best as the only dog in a home, or with an experienced adopter who can provide slow introductions to other pets.
