Meet Dixie, a lively 6-week-old beagle/hound mix who is already a sweetheart. Currently weighing around 4 lbs, she’s expected to be about 35 lbs full grown. Dixie is friendly with other dogs and is thought to be good with cats as well. She enjoys playing and is learning basic commands, so there's a lot of potential for fun training sessions. While she’s working on house training, she’s comfortable being crated. Dixie's story began when she and her siblings were found abandoned at a landfill. Thankfully, they were brought to a rural shelter before making their way to Homeward Trails. These precious pups, including Dixie, are eager to find loving homes where they can thrive.
