About Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson was brought to the San Diego Humane Society alongside eight other dogs after their owner passed away. They reached out for help, and on April 20th, we took them in as Frosted Faces. At 14 years old and weighing 12 lbs, Janet is an incredibly sweet and quiet pup, known for her adorable waddle walk. She shares her home seamlessly with both cats and dogs, making her an ideal dinner companion for outings. During her time with a loving foster family, they discovered her charming personality. Initially shy, Janet quickly warms up and becomes very attached once she feels safe. Her foster mom mentions how she responds to her affectionate nicknames like Jan-Jan. Janet is a low-maintenance girl who brings joy, doing a cute dance when excited and enjoying positive affirmations like "You're a pretty girl!" She loves short strolls and has a delightful curiosity for sniffing the grass and soaking up the sun. Respectful with other dogs, she prefers to keep to herself after a polite introduction. Though she can manage one stair at a time, she needs help going up and down and would thrive in a one-story home with soft flooring. Janet tends to sleep when left alone, showing no signs of separation anxiety. She has a calm demeanor at night and does well in the car, enjoying trips out and about. This adaptable girl relishes her interactions with people, including her time spent with fourth graders who adored her. Janet is simply remarkable, ready to be someone's forever companion.
