Meet Selena! Born in May 2021, she’s a sweet Chihuahua mix with a heart that’s ready to trust again. Selena was found as a stray, believed to have been intentionally abandoned. When she arrived at the rescue, she was deeply underweight and timid, showing signs of a tough past after spending much of her life having puppies instead of receiving the love she deserved. Despite her hardships, Selena never lost hope for kindness. Once she knew she was safe, her true personality emerged. She's gentle, affectionate and is happiest with those she knows and loves. While she may be a bit shy around new people, she deserves a patient family willing to allow her to settle in comfortably. For this reason, she would thrive best in a home without young children. Having successfully completed her heartworm treatment, Selena is ready to leave her difficult past behind. She is seeking a home where she can be the only dog, getting all the love, cuddles, and attention she craves. In return, she will devote herself to her special person.
