About Kelley

Meet Kelley, a gentle and loving 4-year-old Labrador Retriever and American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a heart of gold. Found with her 'boyfriend' among around 40 other dogs at an abandoned hospital, Kelley experienced the tragedy of losing all but one of her puppies due to a severe storm before rescue crews could reach her. Despite this heartbreak, she remains a sweet soul who warms up quickly to kind souls. Though shy at first, Kelley's affectionate nature shines through once she feels safe. She does well in a crate and adapts to home life beautifully, making her a great companion for families or individuals willing to give her some time. Kelley is currently heartworm positive and will receive her shots in March, becoming adoption ready in April. Adopting a heartworm positive dog is a chance to change their life for the better. With love and care, Kelley can look forward to a happy and healthy future. By welcoming her into your home, you're not just offering a second chance—you're gaining a loyal friend who will show you endless affection. If you're interested in adding Kelley to your family, reach out to us for more information. She's wagging her tail in anticipation of finding her forever home. Let's help her story continue with you!
