About Jeter

Jeter is a 12-year-old Shiba Inu who’s more spry than many younger dogs. This medium-sized boy sports a beautiful reddish coat and is ready for adoption through Shiba Rescue of New Jersey. In just two weeks with his foster family, Jeter has transformed from apprehensive to confident. He now happily hops around the house, relishing his routine of walks and treats. Jeter enjoys lounging in the window and is often found sprawled on the floor or snuggled up at your feet, soaking up affection. His habits include barking at passing bicycles and keeping an eye out for bunnies and squirrels. Jeter is well-behaved in the house, with no accidents, and will scratch at the door when he needs to go out. He is fantastic on a leash and loves to participate in any fetch game. Though Jeter connects especially well with women, he’s friendly overall and adaptable, thriving in a calm environment. He’d do best in a home where he can enjoy some cuddles and regular walks. Jeter is a gentle soul, eager to love and be loved. If you think you can provide the perfect forever home, Jeter is ready for you.
