Meet Patty Patata! Her name comes from the Spanish word for potato, and she's truly the happiest little couch potato you'll ever encounter. This brindled beauty spent three long months in the Guadalupe County shelter before she found her freedom. When she was released from her kennel, she rolled over to show off her belly and has been wagging her tail ever since. Give Patty a cozy couch cushion and a blanket, and you've got a Netflix buddy for life. Patty was heartworm positive upon her arrival at Good Catch but has successfully completed six weeks of treatment. Now, she's ready to embark on the next chapter with her forever family. She's done well with the dogs in her foster home, but she's not cat friendly and prefers to be the boss like many female bully breeds. Due to this trait, Patty would thrive as an only dog or with a compatible male. Wonderful with children, Patty loves nothing more than a good lap to cuddle in and a nap. She isn’t overly energetic and is trusted to roam freely in the home without being destructive. Treats like cow hooves and pig ears will make her very happy. Patty is a true people’s pup, loyal and nurturing. Not a fan of the Texas heat, she would benefit from a family situated farther North, providing her with warmth during the winter months. At about two and a half years old, she weighs a healthy 60 pounds and is fully vetted. She will also receive a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention injection before heading home, saving her new family the hassle of monthly prevention for her first year.
