Meet ShadowHavard, a big, beautiful black Lab mix weighing in at a solid 90 lbs. At 10 years old, this gentle giant has a heart as big as his stature, charming volunteers and staff alike with his sweet personality. Shadow previously shared his home with a senior dog and two cats, thriving in their company until his canine companion passed away, leaving him a bit lost and eventually returned to our care. Shadow has a protective nature which makes him an excellent watchdog. He forms strong bonds with his humans and would thrive best in an adults-only home, where he can be the lovable guardian he was born to be. A true water lover, Shadow delights in any form of aquatic fun. Be it diving into ponds or enjoying a kiddie pool during warm days, he is happiest when splashing around. Also, he's a champion fetch player and will keep the game going for as long as you’re up for it. He enjoys car rides and park visits with his volunteer friends, savoring the outings away from the kennel. Having spent a good while with us, Shadow genuinely longs for the comforts of a home.
