About Selah

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Selah's journey began when she was adopted as a puppy during COVID and, unfortunately, returned to the shelter a little over a year later. Growing up in a world where socialization opportunities were restricted, Selah faced challenges connecting and trusting new people. She arrived at the shelter extremely under socialized, which made it difficult for her to form bonds at first. Despite these setbacks, Selah shines as an exceptionally smart girl who has excelled at agility training. She knows her basic commands and is getting better each day at loose-leash walking. Selah has built strong relationships with the staff and volunteers she knows well and has recently started enjoying some time socializing with other dogs. However, because she thrives with people she trusts and prefers a peaceful environment, Selah is looking for a quiet, active home without young children or other dogs. She is a classic "slow burn"—Selah needs a few meetings to feel comfortable, but once she lets you in, you're family for life. If you have patience and are willing to give her the chance she deserves, Selah promises to show you just how special she is. As a fun fact, Selah’s birthday makes her an Aquarius, a zodiac sign known for independence and cleverness! They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
