While she has special needs due to her diabetes and almost total blindness, Mira is a loving companion located in Stagecoach, NV. She gets along with other dogs and children, making her a wonderful addition to any family.
About Mira
Mira, a brave German Shepherd, found herself in dire straits after being picked up as a stray in the Central Valley. When she arrived at the shelter, she was emaciated and diagnosed with diabetes, landing her on the euthanasia list due to the lack of resources to care for her. Luckily, a compassionate volunteer recognized Mira’s plight and brought her into foster care where she is now receiving the medical attention she urgently needs. Though Mira is almost completely blind, she navigates her surroundings with confidence, relying on her human companions for guidance. She has a gentle disposition and enjoys the company of other dogs, but she is still learning how to interact with cats and does not currently get along with them. A warm and loving dog, Mira adores attention and believes she is a lap dog. If you’re looking for a special friend, Mira may just be the one. Make her day and apply to welcome her into your home!
