Tide is a gentle, joyful purebred Shih Tzu ready for a second chance at life. After years of being used for breeding, he lived outdoors with minimal care, resulting in a matted coat that required sedation for grooming. Fortunately, he caught a break just in time. Despite being labeled as a 10-year-old senior, Tide’s energy and spirit suggest he might be much younger—closer to four years old. He radiates happiness and approaches every new experience with pure joy, whether it’s curling up in a soft bed or enjoying gentle affection. Watching him explore the world is truly special. Tide gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children. He loves being outdoors, but he stays close to his people, checking in to ensure they’re around before continuing his adventures. He's making fantastic strides in crate and potty training, still adapting to life indoors after spending years outside. With a consistent routine, we’re confident he’ll thrive in a loving home. Now, Tide seeks a family who will treasure and spoil him, providing the love and security he has long craved. He’s currently in foster care in Pottstown, PA, and will be ready to head home with his forever family starting July 25, 2026. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
