Meet Charlie! This 3-year-old, 60lb Australian Shepherd has a heart as big as his fluffy coat. Charlie and his sister were welcomed into rescue after their owner was hospitalized and unable to return home. Despite this tough transition, Charlie’s spirit shines bright. Charlie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and completely housebroken. He’s adjusting well in foster care and has quickly become a favorite for cuddles. During the day, Charlie is a perfect gentleman, happily lounging while you work or relax. At night, he loves to snuggle in bed, fully believing there’s no such thing as being too close to the ones he loves. Affectionate and sociable, Charlie gets along great with his foster dog siblings and would thrive in a home with another confident dog. His natural herding instinct means he'll do best with a playful companion. Charlie is an active boy who would love a securely fenced yard for zoomies. While he walks well on a leash, he can pull when excited, so a little training in leash manners would help. We recommend a home with older children, as he tends to forget his size when he’s joyful. Charlie is resilient and ready to embrace a new family that will cherish him.
