About Jackson
Meet Jackson, a 12-year-old mixed breed gentleman. This sweet and slightly anxious Chihuahua mix is on the hunt for a loving home after his previous owner had to move to a senior living community that doesn't allow dogs. Having been with his owner for four years, Jackson has proven to be a wonderful companion, although he tends to get a bit nervous at times, especially when visitors arrive. He usually barks at first but quickly calms down once he gets to know them. Jackson is fully house trained and respects his space, so you can trust him to roam freely while you're away. He hasn't been crate trained and prefers the warmth of your bed at night. Currently, he shares his home with a cat and has done well, although he gets a bit protective over his food if the cat shows interest โ he likes to graze throughout the day rather than eat in one sitting. He walks nicely on a leash but is reactive to other dogs, so he needs an experienced adopter familiar with managing anxious and leash-reactive dogs. Ideal for a calm, adult-only household, Jackson would thrive without younger children. Heโs looking for his forever home to settle down in, and perhaps that's with you? Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and letโs get started.
